As a young professional in the world of architecture and engineering, it is important to foster relationships with skilled experts to guide and support growth in every aspect of life. At LK, our licensed experts, project managers and senior administration are truly accessible and engaging in their efforts to mentor budding professionals as they grow in the practice. We’re all located in one office. The value of having such an experienced team located all in one place, at your fingertips, is immeasurable.

We support our employees in their efforts to obtain architectural and engineering licenses as well as related professional certifications. We pay for the first round of testing and the time off to take exams and associated training, including current ARE (Architect Registration Exam) study materials as well as ARE mentors and study groups.

We also work to coordinate pre-professional training requirements in advance of testing. From business development to project management to the multiple design phases of architectural and engineering practice, we task you with project responsibilities and expectations to gain the experience and knowledge required of licensed professionals. This includes our own senior staff who serve as in-house AXP (Architectural Experience Program) coordinators as well as other professionals who serve on the State of Kansas Board of Technical Professions and the national board of the NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards).

In addition to scheduled vacations and holidays, we understand that you have a life outside of work. So we’re open to flexible work schedules to accommodate life emergencies and special family occasions. We encourage participation in office-sponsored events and community service such as the annual Wichita Corporate Challenge, Red Cross Blood Drives and the United Way Community Giving Campaign. We work to accommodate your participation in church, school and municipal service committees and boards and celebrate your efforts to serve and make a difference in our community.

We strive to stay connected to one another throughout the year with quarterly company gatherings disguised as staff meetings, department celebrations, golf and party activities, as well as annual corporate events like a picnic at the zoo and formal Christmas party.
