LK Architecture is looking for an electrical engineer with 1 to 5 years experience. This position would report to the Department Director, and will work under close supervision. Must have passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) test.
General

Education
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from accredited program within a university
Duties
- Production of Construction Documents:
- Construction Documents: Expected to produce construction documents utilizing Revit and/or AutoCAD for assigned projects.
- Specifications: Expected to edit certain specification sections for assigned projects to learn how to produce specifications.
- Codes: Expected to begin learning the applicable codes, how to apply them, and where to find them. Expected to call Code Officials as necessary to get interpretations and expectations as well as answers to questions.
- Project Schedules and Budgets: Responsible for completing tasks as necessary, within the budgeted hours given to meet project needs and Supervisor’s expectations.
- Studies: Assists with engineering studies as required.
- Meetings: Attends in‐house meetings as required.
- Quality Control: Expected to review his/her own work to ensure for quality of drawings.
Responsible for picking up Supervisor’s comments and red marks on assigned work. - Software: Expected to learn Revit and software that applies to his/her discipline (i.e. EasyPower, Visual or AGI 32, Comcheck, Cummins PowerSuite)
- Construction Administration:
- Submittals: Expected to check project submittals for compliance with construction documents. Shall ask for guidance as needed.
- Requests for Information: Expected to review and respond to RFI’s on assigned projects. Shall seek guidance as necessary.
- Job Site Visits: Expected to visit job site to monitor construction progress. Expected to provide Site Observation Report in a timely manner following site visit.
- Organization: Expected to work within Department’s file structure so work and files are organized and easily accessed by others. Expected to assist in project archiving.
