With a longstanding reputation of providing great service surrounded by the comforts and amenities of home, the Homewood Suites at The Waterfront in Wichita opened its doors to LK Architecture’s Interior Design Studio to complete the final phase of their 14 year renovation – the public space. While retaining the physical footprint and a majority of the millwork, approximately 7,000 square feet received a facelift. Loyal guests will appreciate the blend of previous elements and luxuries with the new, both in the finishes and furnishings that breathe new life into this upscale hotel. Updated floor and wall finishes anchor the Lobby, Suite Shop, Library/Business Center, Lodge, Buffet and Meeting/Board Rooms. New furnishings including seating, tables, decorative lighting, artwork, accessories and drapery, help maintain the comfortable and home-like atmosphere the brand is known for and guests appreciate. A new front desk tastefully mixes some hints of tradition with a modern twist and speaks to some existing finishes in adjacent spaces for a cohesive design. A thoughtfully relocated Business Center was incorporated into the existing Library allowing higher visibility and activity. Hot meals and evening socials are even more appetizing in the voluminous refreshed Lodge. There’s truly no place like home!
